so i'm down at my folks for a bit, and there are some issues with their kubuntu box. i discover boatloads of updates need applying, and start in on that. a fe wthings need rebuilding and that gets done. then it wants to update from 9.x to 10.04 and i figure, hey while i'm at it....
now, sadly it boots *beautifully* to a ubuntu command line, but noticably NOT into the kubuntu gui. needless to say, this is not acceptable to leave my parents aren't too tech savvy sans pretty mousey things.
brilliant thoughts?
