I'd like to build a low RPM (up to 180 or so) wind generator and most of the free motors I find have a very poor RPM/Volt output 35-45/1v. My thought was to use a transformer to step up the voltage to a minimum 1...

Re: Laser Cutter News

I hope to see a lot more classes at the Hack Factory, including some milling/lathe/CNC router classes. Despite having only a few attendees in the last couple month's laser classes, this has inspi...

Re: My head is exploding with ideas!

The one-wheeled vehicle is my favorite here. I also had an idea of making a yurt as a structure for video projection inside, if a somehow it would be possible to do reasonable corrections for geometric distortion.

Re: Portable Project Cases to Benefit TC Maker

McSteve snapped one up a while back: $3 donated to good ol' TC Maker. I still have four of these babies for sale. Since the image in this thread appears to have been obliterated, I'll mention (again?) that these cases are the orange-colored ones with the clear plastic top. I've seen some of them (ow...

Still have those five cases! I plan to be at the Hack Factory some tonight and Wednesday, if anyone's interested, I'm bringing them with me.

Re: Interest in Upright MAME Cabinet for HF?

A while back, before proceeding further with the CRT installation, we did a test to make sure the unit was still working. Unfortunately, it was not. So now we're probably going with a somewhat large size LCD monitor/panel. If anyone has one to donate for this project, please post here. Thanks!

Re: Hack Factory Facility Updates and Questions

Done, and likewise! Brandon, I've made this into a global announcement for now, upping the probability of forum visitors seeing this. I suggest editing the title to "MEMBER ACTION REQUIRED..."
