we've talked about having some sort of consignment shop in the past, and the 2 big concerns were having the appearance of members running a business out of the shop (tax shelter = bad) and having someone to manage the inventory and staff if for sales, but etsy and donation kinda deals with those. i ...

i've had no problems at all, and had things that went from fine to uselessy buggy when a user upgraded their video drivers to "help" me. i've even had the same card and drivers in different machines work or not (when not certified) the autodesk graphics backend has become a bizarre arcane ...

but really any way you shake it, having *real* drafting software in the shop would be HUGE. even for quick sketches, the ability to have it generate useful dimensions quickly is such a time saver.

07, and 10 saw big revisions in the nature of the dwg file format, and there've been a few big improvements in how certain types of curves are handled, and a number of "legacy commands" have been cut. 07 was a huge step up from 05, and 10 was.... a step... there are things i adore about po...

it should still be possible to validate 07 off line with the original packaging, however it's a few versions before that where they made it annoying at best. post 04 having graphics hardware that's designed for ACAD is particularly important, as you can get some *really* funky bugs, especially if yo...
