Re: Liquid Handler to 3D Printer Conversion

This has thread has been quiet for a while but the project is far from dead. Here is a quick update: Electronics : The electronics is done. I even replaced the wooden board we had the stepper motor drivers mounted on, with a nicely polished, aluminum plate for better heat dissipation. I do still nee...

Re: Liquid Handler to 3D Printer Conversion

I like the idea of making our own but I also like the KISS principle.. Have you ever seen this 3D printer: http://pp3dp.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=5&Itemid=37 . Its way pricy but I guess its built solid. But what I like is there very simple print hea...

Re: Liquid Handler to 3D Printer Conversion

Well after being sick for the past 4 days or so, I'm going to stop in today and rewire the z-axis motor for 12v rather than the 24v it's currently running at. It's getting far to hot at 24v

Re: Liquid Handler to 3D Printer Conversion

I don't get on the forms much but I figured I would give a quick update to the viewers-at-large The electronics conversion to make this device a large 3D printer is done. I had three 4A IM463 stepper motor drivers. Adam loaned us his Makerbot Motherboard and extruder controller (and likely the extru...

Re: In need of a PIC 16F630/16F676

I doubt it. The 16f630 / 676 are 14 pin devices. I think yours is like 28 pin. And I'm not sure if the code is compatible.

In need of a PIC 16F630/16F676

I am in need of one for a project. I have some free samples coming from them but for some reason they ship from singapore, not from a local distributer, so I suspect it will be many weeks before I see them.

Thanks

John
