		<description>its a casting of a snowboard stomp pad. they&#039;re glued onto a snowboard between the bindings. on a chairlift your required to take the rear boot out its binding. when you leave get off the chairlift you need to ride down the ramp. you put rear boot on top of the board between the bindings and ride down the ramp. 

the pad provides traction between the bottom of the boot and the board. it also helps to clean the snow off the bottom of the boot.

i thought it would be an interesting shape to cast. i might cut it up and place spikes on the tail to protect it against people riding over it in the lift line.</description>
