Welcome to the Twin Cities Maker Blog.
I will be using this blog to update you all on anything related to the maker shop.
As of right now the website is all up and running except for a few color changes but I am going to go ahead and launch the discussion here tonight January 6th 2009.

What level of knowledge will be required? What if someone has a 3rd grade education, but is a phenom at something?

yea, that is something that we will need to think about, when people are trained in on equipment they will need to be able to be competent using them.
If somebody has a 3rd grade education they most likely will not be able to read manuals and such so this poses a definite problem.
Thanks for you concern.

Thanks for the reply. I’m extremely interested in this, and live near washburn. Hackszine posted a blog about this. It’s intriguing to say the least. How do I stay updated? Is submitting my email address enough to be put on a mailing list? Or should I check back here on a day today basis?
Mpls/Stp is a great place for something like this. Congrats.

I would keep an eye on the forum for right now. I think things will slowly progress out of there and most likely we will send out emails to the forum users when we start having meetings.
